Gnr. Archie Patchett Field Artillery (d.1918) Archie Patchett was my grandfather's cousin, one of 12 cousins to serve.
He died back in New Zealand in 1918 after being discharged in 1917. He died of pneumonia due to influenza, only months after marrying and having an infant son.
I'm not sure, but there is a family story that he was in the Field Ambulance Corps, even though he is recorded as part of the NZ Field Artillery.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
He married Mary in Wanganui, New Zealand.
