100564 Sergeant Gilfred "Gilly" Abbott British Army 6th Btn. Lancashire Fusiliers from:Shaw, Oldham, Lancashire My Grandfather Gilfred Abbott served with the 6th Lancashire Fusiliers and we would welcome any information on any known activities during the war. His son Geoffrey Abbott joined the same battalion, the same regiment during World War Two. Any information on either my grandfather or my father would would be appreciated. Denis Fletcher, who was chaplain to the 6th Lancashire Fusiliers.Edward Green
