206482 Cpl. Harry Prentice Snell British Army 1/5th Btn. Gloucestershire Regiment from:Barrow, Suffolk (d.16th Aug 1917) My uncle Harry Prentice Snell served with the Suffolk Reg (Territorials) and the the Gloucestershire Regiment. At 82 years of age I am completing my Family History and have already contacted the Gloucestershire Regiment and obtained from them a report covering the action in Ypres, Belgium also the aftermath resulting in the death of Uncle Harry. Having paid a visit to Ypres in September last and honoured his passing at the Commonwealth Memorial at Tyne Cot, Zonnebeke, West Vlaaderen, Belgium I am wondering if anyone may have any other information about him and maybe a photograph?
Additional Information: | Harry Prentice Snell was a brother of my grandmother Ivy Grace Snell. His brother Victor Snell also died in the war. I have a photocopy of a news article with photos reporting their deaths in the local paper which also contains a letter to their parents. Mr and Mrs C H Snell. They lived at Premier Villas in Barrow.
