Leonard White had been a milkman in Shoreham Sussex, a bachelor aged 27, he enlisted in the Royal Fusiliers. In the action at Cambrai, Leonard was
wounded in the head, only a few days before the Armistice. He was conveyed
to hospital in Liverpool, he died of blood poisoning on 16 Nov 1918.
He is buried in Mill Lane Cemetary in Shoreham-By-Sea. He is listed
on the Town War Memorial. His Memorial Plaque has come down to me a
great Nephew, who he never knew.
