Robert Donnelly died aged 33. Born in Jarrow 1885 (as Donelly), the son
of James and Elizabeth Donnelly of Jarrow, he lived in Jarrow. On the 1911 census Robert Donnelly, age 17, Apprentice Ship Painter in Shipyard, is listed as living with his parents John and Elizabeth Bond and family at 48 York Street, Jarrow. He enlisted at South Shields.
Robert is remembered on the Kirkee 1914-1918 Memorial.
He is commemorated on the Palmer Cenotaph (west face) Jarrow and the Triptych in St. Paul's Church Jarrow. He was commemorated on the Triptych (left panel) in St. Mark's Church Jarrow (it is no longer a Church)
