Gnr. Arthur Albert Pelham
British Army 110th Brigade Royal Field Artillery
(d.29th Aug 1918)
On the 29th of August 1918, 110 Brigade RFA was shelled and my grandfather, Gunner A.A. Pelham, was killed. He was buried in the village of Maurepas. A letter from the Brigade Commander dated Sept 22nd 1918 explains he died when the Division was advancing and came under heavy shelling.
Arthur Albert Pelham was born in Collyhurst, Lancs and enlisted at Saford. He was the husband of Harriet Pelham, of 15, Middleton Street, Pendleton, Manchester. He was 27.
He is buried in Peronne Road Cemetery, Maricourt
