Pte. Albert James Keating

I am currently, writing an account of Pte. Albert Keating's WW1 experiencewith the 11th Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment .
According to the Regimental History held at Lewisham Library, he volunteered at Catford in the 11th Battalion raised by the Mayor.
He survived a number of engagements on the Western Front.
He was wounded in 1917 near Dickebush Lake, and transferred to Huddersfield for treatment.
He returned to the Battalion on 9th September 1917 which was to take part in the Tower Hamlets offensive, 3rd Battle of Ypres, near Zillebeke.
The Battalion subsequently transferred to the Italian Campaign.
