Sgt. Lawrence Gordon Coe

British Army Ox and Bucks Light Infantry

Lawrence Coe served with the Ox and Bucks Light Infantry.

Additional Information:

At some point he transferred into the 10th Lincoln's as a Sergeant in A company, being wounded on 28th of April 1917 at Rouex Chemical works, during an unregognised act of gallantry reported in the local Kings Lyn Newspaper 1917, he was taken prisoner and sent to Lagensalza camp where he received medical treatment. Ultimately he was interred to Switzerland via Red Cross

At some point Sergeant Coe was transferred into the 10th Lincoln's , he saw action in France from 1915 until he was wounded trying to bring a wounded officer back to the trenches during the battle at Roux 1917 . He sustained a severe head wound and was taken prisoner. He survived the war but lost his eye and suffered with severe head pains until his death.
