George Owens was my granddad on my mother's side.
He served with the Wiltshire Regiment in C Company, 7th Service Battalion. George was discharged from the Army on the 23rd of April 1918, due to a gunshot wound to his left arm he received in France on the 23rd of August 1916. He was sent back to England by ambulance train. Admission no. 8850 ward designation SS.
George received the British War Medal, the Victory Medal, and a Silver war badge no. 360906.
