British Army 6th Dragoon Guards (The Carabiniers)

Robert Arthur Head was killed in action on 31st October 1914. He enlisted in the 13th Hussars on 15th February 1911 and was discharged by purchase on 4th of February 1913. Robert re-enlisted in the 6th Dragoon Guards on 26th November 1913.
Enquiry on his death reads:
353 Pte E T Webb 6th Dragoon Guards "On the night of 31st October 1914 I was in a trench with L'Cpl Head, during a lull in the German attack I heard Capt. Hartley ask him if he knew where the trench of A Squadron was. He replied that he did, as he had been there the evening before. Capt Hartley asked him if he would go and try to find out if the trench was still intact. He said he would, about 2 minutes after he left fresh parties of the enemy advanced up the ledge between A and C Squadron trenches. I never saw him again."
