L/Cpl. Albert Henry Standing
British Army 11th Btn. Kings Royal Rifle Corps
from:Fittleworth, Sussex
(d.28th Nov 1917)
Albert Standing disappeared when the Germans counterattacked at the Second Battle of Cambrai on 28th of November 1917.
Unfortunately, Albert's sister, my grandmother Emmeline Ada May Standing, was placed with the Barnardo Homes in 1904 and she was sent to Canada in 1908, and never saw him again.
She learned of his death, at some point in time, but by whom and when we do not know.
Sadly, I cannot locate either living relatives or a photo of Albert.
