243109 Pte. Edward Samuel Rickard British Army 15th (Service) Btn. Hampshire Regiment from:Plymouth Edward Rickard was wounded twice whilst serving on the frontlines. In August 1918 he received a gunshot wound to the face and was sent to recover in Runcorn. Only 2 months later he suffered a severe gunshot wound to the leg and was sent to recover in West Bridgeford. He was said to have been an excellent shot, and something that his wife could never reconcile she called him a wicked man! Edward re-enlisted after the war and spent time in Turkey as part of the occupation army.
