George Tyndale was born in 1895 in Paddington, London, the son of Thomas and Bessie Tyndale and lived in Gunnersbury at 626a High Road, Chiswick. The 1911 census shows him as being at school in Horsham in Sussex and his parents living in Woodhurst Road, Acton, London.
He served with the 2nd West India Regiment and was attached to the 2nd Battalion, Middlesex Regiment.
George was wounded during this action on the 10th of March 1915 and died of his wounds on the 13th of March 1915, aged 19 years. He is buried in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, France and is commemorated on All Saints War Memorial. He is also remembered on the War Memorial, St Mary's Church, Acton, London.
