All we know of Edgar Clarke is that, having enlisted in Norwich, he served in the Battle of the Somme and died of his wounds back in England on 24th of November 1916.
He was born in 1896 (in Rockland All Saints, Norfolk) so was barely 20 years old when he died. He was a son of Luther Jacob and Maud Caroline Clarke and lived in Rockland St Peter, Norfolk. He is buried in Bristol in Arnos Vale Cemetery.
Edgar also had an older brother, Walter William who was two years his senior and served in 3rd Battalion, Norfolk Regiment in WW1. Walter died in England on 27th of January 1916 and is buried in Felixstowe New Cemetery.
