Spr. Laurence "Bob" Meager

Laurence Meager was born in late 1878 or early 1879, one of six children of Frederick Meager, a wheelwright of Bletchley, and Ann Somers.
He married Annie Elizabeth Taylor in 1905 and the couple had five children born between 1905 and 1913. The family lived in Elm Avenue and Whaddon Road in Bletchley and Laurence followed his father's occupation of wheelwright.
Laurence served as Sapper and while serving with the 474th Field Company RE he died on 28 September 1917 age 38. He is buried in Dozinghem Military Cemetery, Belgium.
