Robert Patterson was the son of Robert and Mary Patterson of Middlefield Row, Washington. He was married to Ruth Hope Fitzpatrick and they had two daughters Agnes Louvain (named after a Belgian town) and Mary.
Robert was listed as missing in action on 28th of May 1918.
His father, Robert Patterson, served in the British Army and made it home at the end of the war only to find his son was missing. He spent a lot of time trying to find out what happened to his son but it was presumed he was killed in action and there was no trace of him at all. He died aged 23 years old.
