Pte. Henry Valentine

Henry Valentine was a loving father of three. He was a baker in the village of Knock, Banffshire, Scotland. He enlisted on 14th of July 1915 into the 6th (Banff and Donside) Battalion, Gordon Highlanders.
In the 1917 Battle of Arras, he was injured twice, once on April 9th at Rocincourt, and again on May 16th at the Chemical Works near Roeux.
He was discharged on 12th of November and passed away several years later, around 1944, from persistent complications due to injuries he sustained in war.
