Pte. Arthur Inkerman Jones

Arthur Jones was born in 1889 in Drayton, Berkshire one of a family of 8, he was the third eldest son.
His two brothers both served in WW1, George was in the 3rd Battalion of the Berkshire Regiment. He died from an illness in Reading while still in training.
His other brother Hubert served with The Royal Garrison Artillery and survived the war.
Arthur joined the 5th Battalion, Royal Berkshire Regiment in 1917 and left for the Western front.
He was sent to Fleubaix North East of Lille. On the 8th of March 1918 he was killed in action. He is buried at Rue Petillion Military Cemetery, Fleubaix.
