George Bidwell was wounded on 25th of July 1918 and invalided home.
He developed bronchitis during recovery and died in the Western General Hospital, Neath, Glamorganshire on 17th of November 1918.
He was the son of Isaac and Sarah Bidwell, born in 1879 in Hesset, Bury St Edmunds.
He had married Annie Debenham in 1899 and was living with his children James Edward (1902), Isaac (1904), Charles (1908) and Daisy 1910) in Clay Hall, Great Saxham.
He worked as a hurdle maker on the estate.
He enlisted in the 5th Suffolk Regiment in 1914 but transferred to the Northumberland Fusiliers.
