Pte. George Bould

George Bould was wounded at the Battle of Loos on 25th of September 1915, receiving a shrapnel wound to the 2nd & 3rd fingers of the left hand.
He was admitted to 6th Field Ambulance, then back to the UK on the 2nd if October 1915 for recuperation.
He rejoined the battalion on 30th of June 1916.
George was killed in action on the 3rd September 1916, whilst taking part in an attack on the village to Ginchy.
His body was never found and he is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial to the missing. He was aged 18 years.
