My grandfather, Harry Bimpson, served with the 10th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers and the 18th Battalion, Manchester Regiment in WW1. He was captured Guillemont, Somme, France on 31st of July 1916 and spent the rest of the war as a POW at Stendal. He was released on 31st of December 1918.
Apart from his medal record, I can't find find any further information about his war service records. We also have a copy of a photograph taken of him in the POW camp. Any information or help would be gratefully accepted.
