Arthur Bowdon

Arthur Bowden was born in Devonshire, England. He enrolled in the Calgary Fire Department on 15th of November 1913, at the age of 26. He joined the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 13th of October 1915, and held the rank of Private with the First Canadian Pioneer Battalion; who were soldiers who engaged in engineering or construction type work but were also active infantrymen. Arthur died of wounds at No. 61 Field Ambulance on 26th of May 1916, at 2:15 pm. He is buried in the Ypres Reservoir North Cemetery.
