Additional Information:

George is the son of Thomas and Martha Lounton of Sunderland. Before the War, George was a Journalist working on Newspapers such as The Sunderland Post,The Morpeth Herald and other newspapers in Newcastle, Coventry, Ashington and latterly on The South Shields Gazette. He was a pupil of Bede School in Sunderland. George was my first cousin twice removed his father Thomas being my Great Grandfather James brother. I am immensely proud of the sacrifice he gave.
