Fate 14 May 1917 - Struck a German mine off Horns Reef at 55.33N 07.15E. 33 dead and 4 survivors. The wreck of U 59 was located in 2002.
There was another U 59 in World War Two.
That boat was launched from its shipyard on 12 Oct 1938 and commissioned into the Kriegsmarine on 4 Mar 1939.If you can provide any additional information, please add it here.
