1/7th Battalion, Royal West Surrey (Queens) Regiment
1/7th Battalion, Royal West Surrey (Queens) Regiment was a Territorial unit which served with 131st Brigade, 44th (Home Counties) Division. They saw action in the Battle of France in 1940, transferred to 7th Armoured Division and saw action in North Africa, Italy and North Western Europe.

We would like to obtain digital copies of any documents or photographs relating to WW2 you may have at home.If you have any unwanted photographs, documents or items from the First or Second World War, please do not destroy them. The Wartime Memories Project will give them a good home and ensure that they are used for educational purposes.

Pte. Horace Leslie "Button" Teather 1/7th Btn. Queen's Royal West Surrey Regiment
All I know about my late uncle Horace Teather, known as Button, is he liked a beer and was a bit of a larrikin. He sometimes used his middle name Les. He served in the Queen's from 1939 to 1945 and transferred to the East Surrey's and then to the 662 H.H RA till 1947. I am his last surviving nephew.Peter Teather
Pte. Claude John Lewis 7th Battalion Queen's Royal Regiment (West Surrey) (d.3rd August 1944)
Jack Lewis was killed in action in the fighting round Caen. He is buried in the British Military Cemetery in Bayeux, France.John Lewis
