86th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery



   86th (Hertfordshire Yeomanry) Field Regiment, Royal Artillery was a Territorial unit consisting of the 341st (St Albans) Battery, 342nd (Hertford) Battery and 462nd Battery. In 1940 they were equipped with 8 x 4.5 inch Howitzers and 4 x 18/25 pounder guns, later converting to the Bishop, Priest and Sexton self-propelled guns. They saw action on the Home Front and across North Western Europe.

Wanted: Digital copies of Group photographs, Scrapbooks, Autograph books, photo albums, newspaper clippings, letters, postcards and ephemera relating to WW2. We would like to obtain digital copies of any documents or photographs relating to WW2 you may have at home.

If you have any unwanted photographs, documents or items from the First or Second World War, please do not destroy them. The Wartime Memories Project will give them a good home and ensure that they are used for educational purposes.
