38th (Irish) Brigade



   38th (Irish) Infantry Brigade was formed on 13th of January 1942 by the re-designation of the 210th Independent Infantry Brigade. The saw action in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. The Brigade was made up of
  • 1st Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers
  • 2nd Battalion, London Irish Rifles
  • 6th Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers (until 5th August 1944)
  • 2nd Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers (from 26th July 1944)
