158th (Royal Welch) Brigade
158th (Royal Welch) Brigade was a territorial formation, part of 53rd Division. It consisted of 4th Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers, 6th Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers and 7th Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers. They served in Northern Ireland, Ulster and North Western Europe. On the 4th of August 1944 1/5th Btn. Welch Regiment replaced 4th Royal Welch Fusiliers and 1st East Lancashire Regiment replaced 6th Royal Welch Fusiliers. On 27th of April 1945 2nd South Wales Borderers replaced 7th Royal Welch Fusiliers who rejoined in June.

We would like to obtain digital copies of any documents or photographs relating to WW2 you may have at home.If you have any unwanted photographs, documents or items from the First or Second World War, please do not destroy them. The Wartime Memories Project will give them a good home and ensure that they are used for educational purposes.
