Neuralia was utilised as a troopship before the start of WW2
According to my Father Robert Marsden's record (Obtained from Army Personnel Centre)
he had been in the Royal Artillery Hong Kong Singapore Battalion from 1934 to 1936 & embarked on H.T.Neuralia to return to UK.
He was part of the 11th (Seringapatam) Heavy Battery & had been involved with the placement of the "guns facing to seawards" on Blakang Mati Island, (Now known as Sentosa Island) as Master Gunner's Mate.
