205063 Robert " " Cruickshank British Army Black Watch from: My father, Robert Cruickshank, served in The Black Watch during WW2 in North Africa. During that time he and 19 other servicemen built a Church called “St Margarets Church of Scotland“ Abbassia. My father died while I was quite young , so I don’t know the detail behind this remarkable story. I have clippings from the “Scottish Field” December 1944 and the “Burning Bush “ September 16th 1944 and some personal photos, know he spent some time at El Abbassia Hospital but that’s it.
