205258 Gnr. Henry Humfryes British Army 135th (Hertfordshire Yeomanry) Field Regt Royal Artillery from:Northwood Road, Thornton Heath, Surrey (d.6th Aug 1945) Henry Humfrys was my Grandfather who I never met. He was in Malaya then he was captured on the 15th of Feb 1942 in Singapore. He was then imprisoned in Thailand and died on the 6th August 1945 and buried at the Kanchanaburi war cemetery. If anybody has any information on his Regiment's service history and movements before his capture, please do get in touch.
