Shuthi Smart was a W/Op flying with 149th Squadron. He was killed in a bombing mission near Kleve, Germany. He was the son of Satyendra Mohan Banerjee and Dulcie Lilian Banerjee and was married to Elsie Maude Smart of Newbury, Berkshire, he was 39 years old and left five young children.
