Richard Evans

British Army

from:Bromley, Kent

Richard Evans stayed in the house of my grandmother in Belgium. He was a soldier from the British Army. His nickname "Dickie" was given to a very english styled & hand knitted puppet, this "Dickie" puppet had real clothes, a jacket, trousers and knitted hat. He was a friend of everybody, he was wonderfull!

A pity we have not any photographes of Dickie, the only a letter he wrote to my aunt Godelieve in 1959 at Roeselare. He, his brother Charlie & wife Hilda visited Europe for a very short time for holidays. In 1959 he lived in Bromley, Kent probably even born there. We don't know his date of death. If somebody knows more of his life, please send us information, photographs are welcome.
