George Ball died aged 30 whilst serving with the Royal Artillery. He was the son of Phyllis Forman. O. Ball (nee Hayton) and the late Alexander Foster Ball of Jarrow. He was born in Jarrow in 1913.
His father Alexander Foster Ball served as Private 20/159 Northumberland Fusiliers and was killed on the 1st of July 1916
George is buried in Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. His name was missing off the old plaque in the Town Hall, Jarrow.
