John Grindle Forest who died aged 19 was born in Jarrow in 1925, the son of Joseph Douglas and Lily Forrest (nee Adamson) of Hebburn
John is buried in Hebburn Cemetery and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
