Joseph Franklin who dies aged 30 was the son of Ephraim and Louisa Franklin of 10 Charles Street Jarrow.
He is buried in Krakow Rakowicki Cemetery, Poland and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
