John Hudspith died aged 59 whilst serving with the Merchant Navy. Born in Jarrow in 1881, he was the son of Robert and Margaret Ann Hudspith (nee Barker) and husband of Elizabeth Ann Hudspith (nee Dobson) of Primrose
John is remembered on the Tower Hill Memorial and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
