Archibald Lishman was born in Jarrow in 1921. He was the son of Thomas B. and Elizabeth Ann Lishman (nee Rowan) of Keighley and husband of Catherine Lishman (nee McKeown) of 210 Hope Street, Jarrow.
He is buried in Hamburg Cemetery and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
