215839 Pte. John Maher British Army The King's Regiment (Liverpool) (d.2nd Jan 1945) John Maher who died aged 19 was born in Jarrow in 1925. He was the son of Michael Gerard Maher and Wilhelmina D. Maher (nee Carr) of Jarrow. John is buried in Jarrow Cemetery and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
