Patrick McDonnell died aged 20, he was the son of Thomas and Annie McDonnell (nee Richardson) of Jarrow. He is buried in Sfax War Cemetery and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
