John Meyler who died aged 25 was born in Jarrow in 1918. He was the son of John Charles and Margaret Meyler (nee Fletcher) of Jarrow.
John is buried in Jarrow Cemetery and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
