James Mills who died age 21 was born in South Shields in 1923. He was the son of James Arthur and Ellen Mills (nee Stenhouse). He is buried in Jarrow Cemetery and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
