Hugh Mogie died aged 30, he was born in Jarrow in 1914, son of William and Sarah Jane Mogie (nee Maloy) of Jarrow. He was the husband of Priscilla Mogie of Wideopen Northumberland.
High is remembered on the Singapore Memorial and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
