John Nee died aged 22, he was born in Jarrow in 1919, the son of John and Mary Nee (nee Hefferan) of Primrose Jarrow. He is remembered on the Tower Hill Memorial and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
