Archie (Ben) Phipps died aged 23. He was born in Jarrow 1919, the Son of Fred and Williamina Phipps of 92 Black Road, Hebburn He is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall and on the Tower Hill Memorial.
