Herbert James Rogers died aged 57. He also served in the Royal Navy. Born in Wrexham in 1885, he was the son of Herbert James Rogers and Annie Marian Rogers (nee Jury) and the husband of Lilias Kerr Johnson Rogers (nee Scott) of Jarrow.
Herbert is remembered on the Tower Hill Memorial and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
