Stanley Scott was born in 1903 in South Shields. He was the son of John George and Elizabeth Scott. He married Maria M Scott (nee Giblin) who was originally from Jarrow.
He died at sea aged 37 and is remembered on the Tower Hill Memorial, he is also commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
