Stephen Stewart was born in 1915 in Jarrow, son of Theodore and Isabella Robson Stewart (nee Ramsey).
He died aged 27 and is remembered on the Rangoon Memorial.
He is also commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
