Flt.Sgt. Richard Howell Evans

Royal Air Force

from:Ty Hesg, Argoed, Nr Blackwood, Monmouthshire

I was named after my uncle Richard Howell Evans who was a prisoner of war when I was born. He was one of 6 brothers the others were all coal miners. Howell was the only one of the family to go to war. He returned, but I'm told never spoke of his experiences and also ended up in the coal mining industry. He died in 1963. My wife and I went to see him in hospital on our wedding day on Boxing Day 1963 before he passed away. His daughter and son Andrea and Neil still live in Wales.

I would be grateful for any information on the camp or my Uncle's life
