218291 Sgt. James Marvin Love, US Army 7th Infantry 3rd Division from:McNary, Louisiana My father, Technical Sergeant, James M. Love, Jr., fought in North Africa and other places during WW II. He was captured in Anzio, Italy, held outside of Rome, Italy, and marched through the city. He was then put on a train and sent to Stalag II B prison camp, where he stayed almost two years. Near the end of the war, daddy and a fellow POW and Darby's Ranger, Clyde Ray from Wetumka, Oklahoma, escaped. It took them a week to find the allies but they went back and showed the allies where Stalag II B was and helped liberate the entire population of POW's. I would love to hear from someone who might have known my dad or Clyde Ray.
